World Assembly 2019

Hard to believe it’s been a month since my time in South Africa for the IFES World Assembly! As many of you may know, InterVarsity USA is one of many chapters under the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students . With over 170 countries represented at this once-every-four-years event, it’s been a blessing to go over notes and videos of our time together. It was exciting to go as a delegate for GBU Chile and receive materials and training that will be useful for my time there. Even though I went representing Chile, it was great to be included in the debriefs and information for the USA team as well as reflecting with national staff and reconnecting with my Link family. Every day was packed with devotional, worship, seminars, plenaries, etc. However, my favorite time by far was small groups and meal times. Now you might be wondering, was the food that amazing? LAST WEEK   As you might've noticed, I haven't posted anything regarding last week. It's been a while so I won't recall details but there were things to celebrate. I was invited to the house of one of the ladies at church and had an awesome time. We had a bonfire and roasted hot dogs and s'mores. The highlight of the evening was watching her Evening Primrose bush blossom at around 8 pm. It was quite the view! We were invited as interns to the house of someone from the executive team and had a blast! We were able to hear of the couple's experiences as they traveled the world and the ways God has been working in them. With a few interns we went to Celebrate Lancaster. A whole street was blocked with food trucks and music, celebrating Lancaster's 275th Anniversary. I was able to have my first days at the part-time job!
